Using the theme editor

Use Softune’s theme editor tools rail — Brand, Colors, Header, Pages, Sections — with live preview and device toggles.

2 min readUpdated Aug 20, 2026

Softune’s theme editor is a structured visual tool. Merchants work through a tools rail (Brand, Colors, Header, Pages, Sections) beside a live preview of the real storefront. Softune does not expose free-form custom CSS as the primary editing path.

Open the editor

  • 1. Open Menu → Themes
  • 2. Enter the theme editor for the active storefront
  • 3. Orient yourself: tools rail on one side, live preview on the other
  • 4. Use the device toggle (desktop / tablet / mobile) while you edit

Tools rail panels

Brand

Set store name, logo, tagline, and font pairing. Softune’s AI Suggest can propose a full brand direction you can accept or refine.

Colors

Adjust the palette Softune exposes for the template. AI Suggest can propose color directions; always check contrast on buttons and text after applying.

Header

Configure nav layout, header links, and the announcement bar customers see at the top of the storefront.

Pages

Turn Softune storefront pages on or off. Home is always available; other pages follow what Softune exposes for the template.

Sections

Manage homepage blocks: drag to reorder, use the numbered rail to jump to a section, and Add Section when you need a new block type Softune supports.

On smaller screens Softune’s editor supports Edit | Preview stacking so you can focus on one surface at a time.

Save vs Publish

  • Save keeps a local draft of your editor work
  • Publish pushes changes live
  • Softune notes that live updates can take 1–2 minutes to appear on the storefront after Publish
